ESG Q&A with Kristen
What company do you see as your “North Star” in ESG/sustainability/responsibility? Why? What do they do that makes them unique, interesting, different, or particularly awesome in our field?
Gap Inc – As a successful apparel company, they could probably “get by” without being so invested in ESG. However, their ESG commitment is robust and transparent, including many initiatives to empower women with employment opportunities and training, and human rights initiatives. Love that Athleta is a B Corp. And I love Athleta clothes!
“Do your little bit of good where you are; it’s those little bits of good put together that overwhelm the world.”
Desmond Tutu
My people are those with whom I can be authentic, people with whom I can safely “dream out loud” and we can champion each other’s goals, celebrate each other’s accomplishments, and pick each other up when we fall. My people are those who can see our differences as an opportunity to learn from each other, and come together with a common purpose.
