Overview
Smart home leader Resideo teamed up with Veerless to accelerate its Corporate Responsibility (CR) transformation and enhance its already forward-thinking initiatives with a compliance-ready CR program. The partnership started with a strategic landscape analysis and expanded to include roadmap development, target-setting, reporting, and stakeholder engagement. With a focus on quick wins and long-term value, Veerless helped make Corporate Responsibility a core part of how Resideo does business—not a side initiative.
The Situation
In 2022, Veerless began working with Resideo, a global provider of smart home comfort and security solutions, to evolve its Corporate Responsibility program. Resideo was formed in 2018 as a spin off from Honeywell, bringing with it decades of experience in responsible leadership and products with a strong connection to sustainability. As Resideo grew and recognized a rise in expectations from regulators, investors, and customers, it continued to build and refine its initiatives in sustainability, corporate responsibility, and ESG across its operations globally.
Veerless brought to the partnership a pragmatic, data-driven approach—mapping the ESG landscape, building a roadmap, and aligning Resideo’s efforts with emerging regulations such as the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD), Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence Directive (CSDDD), and California’s climate disclosure laws.
The Solution
Veerless’ work with Resideo is aligned around on these key areas of focus:
- Landscape Analysis & Roadmap Development
We kicked off with a strategic ESG assessment and benchmarking analysis. Using those insights, we delivered clear recommendations and a multi-year roadmap aligned with Resideo’s business strategy. The roadmap included ESG KPIs, data management plans, and targets—establishing a solid foundation for long-term execution and growth. - Double Materiality & Regulatory Alignment
To prepare for CSRD and CSDDD, we led Resideo through a double materiality assessment—addressing both impact and financial relevance. This shaped their CR priorities, enhanced risk management, and enabled the development of audit-ready disclosures that meet evolving regulatory demands.
- Reporting
Since 2022, we’ve led the development of Resideo’s ESG disclosures, including annual reports. We manage the full process—framework alignment (ISSB, SASB, TCFD), content development, and design—ensuring each report is credible, visually strong, and aligned with expectations from regulators, investors, and rating bodies like CDP and EcoVadis.
- GHG Accounting & Rating Schemes
We advise Resideo on Scope 1, 2, and 3 greenhouse gas emissions tracking and climate target-setting. Our work includes GHG inventory refinement, scenario modeling, and CDP and EcoVadis submissions—positioning Resideo to meet environmental and governance standards confidently. - Stakeholder Engagement
To ensure CR efforts meet internal and external expectations, we developed a stakeholder engagement strategy tied to Resideo’s material topics. We worked closely with internal stakeholders to refine priorities and secure buy-in, making Corporate Responsibility central to business operations.
Ongoing Impact
Veerless has helped Resideo shift to a more integrated, strategic Corporate Responsibility program. Our work ensures Resideo can meet fast-changing demands from regulators, rating agencies, and customers, while embedding ESG responsibilities and best practices that drive long-term value.
