The Situation
The OCC engages in the communities where it operates through its diversity, equity and inclusion programming, both at a corporate level and through their Employee Network Groups (ENGs). Their community building networks choose flagship partners to engage with related to volunteerism, philanthropy, and shared values in the major cities where they operate. In 2023, OCC engaged with Veerless to search for its first flagship partnership in their growing Dallas office. In addition, the company is working to evaluate existing partnerships and source new ones by engaging with Veerless and their community partners.
The Solution
Veerless was proud to utilize a data-driven approach to partnership development and social impact outcomes to support OCC’s process to find the perfect flagship partner in its Dallas office. The Veerless team worked to develop, with OCC leadership, a clear impact rubric that detailed the kind of results the company hoped for in its Dallas community engagement. We led a process to evaluate the impact of nonprofits across multiple areas of social impact, and match that impact to the goals of OCC’s leadership team, local volunteers and ENG representatives.
In 2025, we brought the same process to additional partnerships in OCC’s Chicago headquarters, working to build partnerships that can grow with the organization and its employees.
Ongoing Impact
Not only did Veerless help OCC to source partners that met their social impact and community engagement needs, we also ensured they had a strong rubric for partner evaluation and engagement long term. Ultimately, the social impact strategies inside OCC contribute to their excellence in diversity, equity, and inclusion, as well as corporate citizenship programming.
