Digital Edge launched in August in 2020 with a group of seasoned senior leaders with significant background in global data center management. In just five short years, Digital Edge has become a leading data center platform in Asia-Pacific. One of Digital Edge’s unique differentiators is the commitment it made to sustainability and ESG excellence at the launch of the company.

The Veerless team has been a proud partner of Digital Edge’s work to build a future-ready ESG program since 2021. With their first report, a “stake in the ground” on the company’s commitment to ESG, we established a clear ESG vision. Since then, Digital Edge has established strategic pillars, set measurable goals and KPIs, and build a reporting foundation that reflects the company’s expanding regional footprint.

The Situation

Digital Edge was founded by a group of executives and investors whose experience in the field of data centers and big technology companies made them well aware of the pressures of sustainability in a technology company. As a fast-growing data center platform in Asia-Pacific, Digital Edge saw the need to formalize and communicate its ESG efforts in line with investor expectations, market shifts, and emphasizing their team’s values.

While sustainability was an early pillar of the company’s culture, their leadership team sought a structured approach to guide decisions, boost credibility, and fuel long-term growth. Veerless helped their internal team to shape that vision into comprehensive ESG strategy and reporting process — not only aligned with global standards and customer expectations, but designed to go beyond them, reflecting Digital Edge’s pace, maturity and regional presence.

The Solution

We co-developed a foundational ESG strategy with Digital Edge, building it around ESG pillars that reflect their top priorities. Together, we set long-term goals, defined KPIs, and created an integration roadmap across the business.

We also partner each year to produce their annual ESG report—aligned with SASB, TNFD, and TCFD—to track progress and communicate outcomes. Throughout, we provided strategic guidance to keep their ESG program practical, forward-looking, and ready to scale with their business.
