Producing an annual sustainability or ESG report has clearly become table stakes in major companies around the world. In the last five years or so, though, there has been an increase in the number of companies bifurcating their DEI results and communications from their larger ESG reports and producing standalone DEI-related reports. Check out our June episode on Table Stakes Podcast for our CEO’s take on the pros and cons of DEI reporting, and check out our favorite 5 DEI reports below.

The following is a curation of the Veerless’ Favorite Standalone DEI Reports in recent years. Though not an exhaustive list, each of these reports is distinct, and they showcase multiple ways to present DEI data and results in a report format.

ServiceNow

ServiceNow’s report showcases their “People Pact,” a clear and focused strategy for what they want their employees not just to do or be, but feel. They have clear headings of “I feel fulfilled, I feel valued, I feel like I belong.” Those are big feelings, and we’re impressed with ServiceNow for acknowledging them.

In addition, the company took the step to have the entire leadership team sign the DEI Report’s opening letter, an important show of a global strategy and focus.

Google

Google’s report is incredibly comprehensive, but more important than the 50+ page report is their ability to create a single webpage of highlights that truly showcases their wins and priorities this year in DEI.

Sometimes a report is a great tool, but the website around it is just as impactful.

Trinity Health

It’s rare to see a nonprofit organization producing a report this comprehensive, so kudos to Trinity for taking this on. Their DEI report includes incredible information about their focus on equity and diversity in the healthcare space. They also detail their work in second chance hiring, impressive in itself

UPS

UPS took the route of an online interactive report in their 2023 DEI Impact Report, and it’s definitely a bold choice and clearly aimed at employees and potential employees singularly.

Boston Consulting Group

Boston Consulting Group does an awesome job of showcasing not only their results – 50/50 gender parity, for example – but the way in which they attach DEI to their business every day. They detail the work of their Center for DEI, bringing their clients the support they need in areas related to DEI.
